The newest Bass Pro Shops Outdoor World is the signature tenant for the new Patriot Place development project located adjacent to Gillette Stadium at 1 Patriot Place in Foxborough.  The 140,000 square-foot outdoors store, equivalent in size to 3 and ½ football fields, will also feature an expansive boat showroom and the uniquely designed Blue Fin Lounge.

The store will officially open its doors for a preview celebration during the fundraising event and ribbon-cutting ceremony Wednesday, November 14th from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM.  The event is free and open to the public.

For every $1 spent during the Evening for Conservation fifty cents will be donated to the “More Fish” campaign of the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation to save fish and their habitats for our kids and grandkids.  Local conservation groups will sell food and drinks courtesy of Johnsonville® and Coca-Cola® and may hold raffles with 100 percent of the proceeds benefiting those organizations.

Local conservation groups on hand Wednesday evening include the Massachusetts Chapter of National Wild Turkey Federation, Ducks Unlimited—Massachusetts, Safari Club of New England, Ruffed Grouse Society, Massachusetts Division of Fisheries and Wildlife, Massachusetts Division of Marine Fisheries, Neponset Valley Watershed Authority, Massachusetts Office of Fishing and Boating Access and Stripers Forever among others.

Bass Pro Shops founder Johnny Morris, Bass Pro Shops President Jim Hagale, The Kraft Group Executives Robert Kraft and Jonathan Kraft, Bass Pro Shops Outdoor World store manager Troy Kaspari, and various city officials are among those scheduled to attend the ribbon cutting ceremony.

Racing enthusiasts won’t want to miss seeing Martin Truex, Jr.’s #1 NASCAR Nextel Cup race car.  Other special exhibits that evening include the Bass Pro Shops Hot Air Balloon and the awesome King of Bucks mobile exhibit, featuring 25 record whitetail deer mounts.  Also, you won’t want to miss the exciting Toyota Tundra interactive displays.

The Grand Opening Celebration begins Thursday, November 15th at 8:00 AM and will include special exhibits, more celebrity guests, store wide savings and fantastic giveaways.  You can also visit with today’s experts on fishing, hunting, boating and more.  See huge displays from the industry’s top manufacturers and talk with factory reps for answers to your product questions.

The world’s leading supplier of outdoor products is much more than a hunting and fishing store.  Part museum, part art gallery, part education conservation and entertainment center, the 140,000 square-foot Bass Pro Shops Outdoor World in Foxborough will also offer equipment for hiking, backpacking, camping, outdoor cooking and more.  Shoppers will find outdoor apparel for men, women and children, along with a fine selection of outdoor, casual and athletic footwear.  A gift and nature shop serves up a wide variety of outdoor-related items from lamps and dishes to bird feeders and furniture.

Widely recognized for their efforts in conservation and outdoor education, Bass Pro Shops has received more conservation awards than any other outdoors retailer.  The store will also offer free Outdoor Skills Workshops for adults, kids and families.
